ORIGINAL MUAY THAI
Muay Thai and boxing coaching in Toronto with Robson Etuke Diamond — Muay Thai competitor, CPT / S&C coach, ISSA Strength and Conditioning certified, and HYROX coach. Pad work, partner drills, footwork and bag work, from first stance to fight camp.
Robson Etuke Diamond doesn't teach theory he hasn't tested. He competes in Muay Thai himself — so every combination, every drill and every round he puts you through has been pressure-tested under the lights, in front of a crowd, with someone trying to take his head off.
He is a Muay Thai competitor, CPT / S&C coach, ISSA Strength and Conditioning certified, and a HYROX coach. He runs Muay Thai and boxing sessions at Unity Fitness Harbourfront and Triumph Muay Thai in Toronto, blending the traditional art — stance, teep, clinch, the eight limbs — with modern strength work, so you get faster, sharper and harder to hit at the same time.
First time in a gym or preparing for a bout, the standard is the same: show up, work hard, leave better than you came in.
Head Coach & Founder
One system, every level. Whether it's your first class or your next fight camp, sessions are built on the same fundamentals — trained properly, in order.
Robson's flagship session. Sharp pad rounds, partner drills that build real timing, footwork and coordination patterns, and heavy bag work to finish. High energy, technical coaching, and a room that pushes you.
One-on-one, built around your goals and your pace. Deep technical breakdowns, fight IQ, and conditioning programmed for you — whether you're learning your first jab or preparing to step into the ring.
New to striking? Start here. Stance, guard, footwork and the core strikes — jab, cross, teep, roundhouse — taught safely and patiently from day one. No experience, no ego, no getting thrown in the deep end.
Fight-ready conditioning from an ISSA-certified S&C coach. Strength, power and engine work programmed to carry over where it counts — faster hands, heavier kicks, and rounds you don't fade in.
Every Wednesday, 6:30–7:30 PM: CoEd drills and sparring. Partner rounds, clinch work and controlled sparring — the midweek session where timing gets sharpened and fight IQ gets built, round by round.
Save your spotTraining activity
Coach-held rounds that turn technique into sharp, repeatable combinations.
Robson calls combinations and holds the pads while you work stance, guard, accuracy, timing, defence and clean returns. The pace builds as your technique settles.
Training activity
Structured exchanges that build real timing without turning every round into a fight.
You and a partner repeat specific attacks, defences and counters at an agreed pace. Each drill gives both people a clear role before the exchange becomes more reactive.
Training activity
Movement that keeps your stance organised while you create angles and control range.
You practise stepping, advancing, retreating, pivoting and resetting without crossing your feet or losing your guard. The patterns then connect to strikes and defence.
Training activity
Patterns that connect your eyes, feet, guard and strikes into one controlled movement.
Progressive movement and striking sequences teach your body to stay balanced while different limbs work together. The goal is smooth, repeatable mechanics—not rushed complexity.
Training activity
Heavy-bag work that lets you build power, pace and combination endurance.
You apply the session’s techniques on the heavy bag through timed rounds. Focus can shift between clean mechanics, sustained output, power shots and finishing combinations.
Training activity
Close-range Muay Thai built around posture, control, balance and safe entries.
Partner drills cover hand position, frames, posture, turns, off-balancing and controlled knee entries. Technique comes before strength so both partners can learn safely.
Training activity
Fight-ready engine work programmed by an ISSA-certified strength and conditioning coach.
Strength, power and repeat-effort work support the demands of striking rounds. Sessions connect athletic qualities to faster hands, heavier kicks and the ability to keep working.
Training activity
Controlled live rounds where timing, defence and fight IQ are tested with a partner.
Students apply trained skills in supervised, responsive exchanges. The aim is learning and control: reading movement, choosing techniques and staying composed.
Primitive Combat · 8 weeks · 4 days a week
Build the conditioning to pressure, recover, and keep your weapons sharp when the round gets ugly.
The failure point
This is conditioning built around combat demands—not random suffering dressed up as fight preparation.
You look sharp early, then your feet slow, your guard drops, and every decision costs more. Build repeatable power and recover between exchanges.
Stop stitching together hard sessions with no progression. Follow a clear eight-week conditioning structure you can understand and execute.
Eight-week phase map
Four focused sessions per week. Every phase develops the next layer of your fight engine.
Test the engine. Set pace, output, and recovery markers.
Build repeatable aerobic work without losing sharpness.
Raise the amount of quality work you can own.
Hold power through longer, controlled fight intervals.
Blend fatigue with footwork, output, and clean mechanics.
Attack hard efforts. Recover. Produce again.
Match the rhythm, density, and decision cost of rounds.
Drop fatigue, sharpen the weapon, and prove the change.
Aerobic power + skill-safe volume
Strength endurance + trunk integrity
Repeat-sprint ability + recovery
Fight-round conditioning + test pieces
Inside the lab
Clear demonstrations, direct accountability, and a room of people doing the same work.
See the standard before you load it. Movement demonstrations and coaching cues make every session easier to execute.

This is not bodybuilding with gloves on. The work is organized around what fighters actually need: pace, repeatable power, recovery, and clean output under fatigue.

Boxing is the hands — jab, cross, hooks, uppercuts, plus head movement and footwork. Muay Thai, the "art of eight limbs," adds kicks, knees, elbows and the clinch. Primitive Combat sessions train both, so your striking is complete.
